In Loving Memory of Charlotte — Faithful Servant and Friend
Scripture Reading
“The Lord your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you;
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
— Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)
Reflection
There are moments in life when someone’s faith opens a window into Heaven — when their love for Jesus becomes so real, so radiant, that you can feel His presence through them.
Charlotte was one of those people.
She loved the persecuted church, she loved God’s Word, and she loved Jesus with a depth that stirred hearts.
Through her faith, many came to know the Lord more intimately — not just through teaching, but through the way she lived and loved.
What follows is a message I shared for Charlotte — a reflection of her life, her devotion, and the joy she now knows fully in the presence of her Beloved.
🌿 Message for Charlotte
(As shared in remembrance of her life and faith)
When I think of Charlotte, the very first image that comes to mind is dancing with Jesus.
There’s a worship song that’s become very special to me — one that also became special to Charlotte — called “Dance with Me / Glory Come Down.”
“Behold, You have come,
Over the hills, upon the mountain.
To me You will run, my beloved —
You’ve captured my heart.”“With You I will go.
You are my love, You are my fair one.
The winter has passed,
And the springtime has come.”Those words remind me so much of Charlotte’s relationship with Jesus —
her heart completely captured by Him,
always ready to follow wherever He led.One of my favorite memories with Charlotte was when we attended a retreat together at Blue Mountain.
Charlotte was there representing Voice of the Martyrs, sharing her heart for the persecuted church.During one of the sessions, the speaker invited everyone to stand and imagine dancing a slow dance with Jesus.
As the music played, I happened to glance at Charlotte — and her face was radiant, peaceful, full of love.
She was dancing with the Lover of her soul. And I remember thinking, That’s how I want to love my Lord — with that same joy and surrender.
That moment with Charlotte changed how I saw Jesus.
It’s where my own love for “dancing with Him” began. While Charlotte was in the hospital this last time, I was on a walk with my pups, worshipping, when that song — “Dance with Me / Glory Come Down” — started to play.
The Holy Spirit whispered in my heart, “Play this for Charlotte.”So when I arrived at the hospital, I played it for her.
It was the first time she had ever heard that song. And she liked it.
I could sense her spirit connecting with it — it was like a sweet gift from the Lord just for her.“Dance with me, oh lover of my soul,
To the song of all songs.
Romance me, oh lover of my soul,
To the song of all songs.”That’s exactly what Charlotte is doing right now —
dancing with her Beloved, face to face with Jesus.“Open the heavens,
Let Your glory come down.
My heart burns for You, Yeshua —
For Your presence, for Your holy fire.”That was Charlotte’s heart — burning with love for Jesus and for His people.
Through her Voice of the Martyrs messages and our many conversations, Charlotte gave me a love for the persecuted church — for those who suffer for His name.
I remember so many people coming to her table at retreats, stopping to discuss the plight of persecuted believers around the world.
Charlotte was always faithful, always attentive, always passionate.
She shared their stories with such conviction and love — her eyes shining, her voice full of compassion, her heart fully invested in the struggles and victories of God’s people everywhere.“Consume me with Your fire.
Let all my desire
Burn for You, burn for You.”Charlotte lived as a brilliant light with a passionate fire — consumed by love for Jesus.
So today, when I picture her, I see her radiant, laughing, and slow dancing with JESUS — dancing with her Lord in glory.
No more pain, no more sorrow, only the fullness of living in His presence. And I believe if Charlotte could speak to us now, she would say:
“Don’t wait. Don’t hold back. Let your life be your dance with Jesus.”Charlotte, thank you for showing us what it looks like to love Him with everything —
to pray with passion, to care deeply, to champion His people around the world,
and to live your life as a dance before the Lord.I invite each one of you here today to slow dance with Jesus.
To the song of all songs. We love you, Charlotte.
Personal Reflection
Charlotte’s story invites us to consider our own walk with Christ.
Are we living guarded, distracted, hurried lives — or are we learning to move in step with Him, as if in a dance of surrender and love?
She reminds us that even in suffering, joy can overflow. Even in loss, Heaven’s melody still plays.
Charlotte’s life teaches us that when we walk closely with Jesus, every step becomes worship — every breath becomes part of the dance.
💖 An Invitation to Know the Lover of Your Soul
If you don’t yet know Jesus as your Savior, this same invitation is for you.
The One who captured Charlotte’s heart loves you with that same everlasting love.
He’s not distant or unreachable — He’s the One who left Heaven to find you, to forgive you, to bring you into a relationship of love and grace.
Jesus longs for you to know His presence, His forgiveness, and His peace.
The Bible says,
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
If your heart is stirring as you read this, that’s His Spirit drawing you.
You can respond right now, right where you are.
Pray from your heart — something like this:
“Lord Jesus,
I know that I need You.
I believe You died for me and rose again.
Please forgive my sins,
come into my heart,
and be my Lord and Savior.
Teach me to walk with You —
to live and to dance with You all the days of my life.
Amen.”
If you prayed that, welcome to the dance — to the love that never ends.
Charlotte would be rejoicing right now, knowing that Heaven’s song has reached another heart.
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for the gift of Charlotte’s life — for her faith, her fire, and her deep love for You.
May her legacy awaken our hearts to know You more deeply and to love You more freely.
Teach us to live unreservedly — to move with You, to listen for Your rhythm, to dance with You through every season.
Let Your glory come down, and let our hearts burn for You, Yeshua.
In Your holy name we pray,
Amen.
